OPERATION

  • Hydraulic fluid is pumped between the two cylinders through the overhead (or optional in-floor) stainless steel hydraulic lines. Patented hydraulic synchronization eliminates the need for restrictive height overhead covers, cables, pulleys, equalizer chains or obstructive floor plates.
  • To raise the carriages, Mohawk’s LMF-12/TP-16 use direct drive lifting rods which eliminate the wear & maintenance associated with lifts that use cables, chains, & overhead cable covers.
  • Mohawk carriages roll on eight double sealed, selflubricating, steel ball bearing rollers, for a lifetime of maintenance-free operation. Mohawk bearings are longer lasting, with less friction and wear than competitive lifts using plastic slide blocks that need constant greasing and maintenance.

3 HP Single or 3 Phase Power
3 HP single or 3 phase electric/ hydraulic power unit delivers fluid to large twin hydraulic cylinders. Optional 3 phase 5HP motor speeds the lifting cycle to 90 seconds.

FULL Under Vehicle Access

High Strength Columns

LIFT FEATURES

  • Control Panel
    Mohawk uses SIEMENS® PLC computer controls for continuous synchronization of all columns. All posts can control all columns, pairs or single column operation. Each post equipped with emergency shut off switch.
  • Mobile Columns
    Mohawk mobile columns are built from 5 3/4” fork lift mast sections, featuring double sealed, self lubricating cylindrical roller bearings for smooth, safe lifting and lowering.
  • Safety Locks
    19 locking positions spaced every 3”, with ability to ‘park’ the load on the mechanical safety locks.
  • Adjustable Forks
    Mohawk adjustable lifting forks are available in either 15” or 22” lengths for floatation tires or super-singles for safely lifting both rear tires. Forks adjust & lock for tire sizes from 48” down to 14” with wheels from 24” to 13” diameter.
  • Wheels
    Mohawk lifts steer via large TWIN, 6 5/8” diameter, rubber coated steering wheels to easily roll over expansion seams & shop debris. Mohawk-the easiest columns to move. No steel or plastic wheels. Mohawk lifts easily roll on 6” rubber coated steel wheels (not plastic) which retract, to load the weight on the lift & shop floor (not the lifts wheels or axle).
  • DC Control Panel
    24 volt control consoles show lifting height, battery voltage, cycles, capacity, annual OSHA required inspection dates plus many more features.
  • Deep Cycle Batteries
    Twin 12 volt, deep cycle, maintenance free US made batteries. Each column equipped with a 10 amp, 110 volt battery charger for quickly recharging the batteries. One battery charge is good for 30+ cycles and will still leave the batteries at 75% power.

Each post is equipped with an emergency stop button to turn the lift off. Each column equipped with a switch to operate all columns, pairs or a single column.

Lift notifies operator when batteries need to be charged, communications are halted, stops haven’t been released and many other user functions.

Electro-hydraulic in-ground lifts

The high pressure, low volume lift that started it all, developed and installed in 1981.

Before environmental concerns were the hot topic Stenhoj saw the advantages of a continuous trench low oil volume design. Some companies claim they have been building high pressure lifts for many years, but no one has built a highpressure low volume self-contained lift longer than Stenhoj.

A single concrete vault to houses both front and rear pistons to assure that all service and repairs can be done from the top with out the need to dig. There are no concerns about rusting walls or moisture attacking the lifts structure. The lift was designed to be simple to install, simple to operate and simple to maintain.

Stenhoj uses a single high pressure piston housed in a massive outer chrome casing that slides in a lubricated top bearing for rigidity and stability under the highest load. This simple design is not dependent on multiple cylinders or lifting stages which add to your overall maintenance costs in the future.

With just 6 gallons per cylinder, multiflexuses the lowest amount of oil of any other lift design andits exclusive high pressure design assures years of trouble free service.

All cylinders and lock bars are fully chrome plated to insure surviving the elements while offering superior corrosions protection. The locking system is fully hydraulic and operates automatically whenever the power unit is activated. This means that there are no air cylinders to rely on for lift safety or to present a service issue in the future.

The lifts overhead pendant control runs on afull lengthtrack system that assure the controlsare with you when you need them. This makes certain that the lift is set correctly to each vehicle and assures the safe lifting of the most difficult vehicles.

Galvanized shutter plates that move with the front piston at the push of a button offers the safety of a continuous covered work area.

CONTROL SYSTEM

  • The computer’s alpha-numeric LCD display performs self test on startup, with information in plain english, with no flashing lights to be decoded.
  • Control system user settings are input directly from the keypad or special settings are password protected. No outside computer is needed for reprogramming various settings.
  • All platform switches and electrical sensors are located in the runway (not the shop floor). Continuous electrical runs from the lift's console eliminating splice connections in the shop floor (found on other lifts).
